Church planting

The Ultimate Aim

Church planting is the heartbeat of every mission effort. It’s what we should be expecting and working toward as the Great Commission unfolds. Without real obedience to Christ’s call, new churches simply don’t come to life.

Yes, starting a church can feel messy, exhausting, and at times discouraging. But the struggle doesn’t compare to the joy it produces—the spark of a new community, the authentic love believers begin to share, the bond of a faith family. Those moments stir up a deeper commitment to Jesus and His people that can’t be manufactured any other way.

I’ve had the privilege of being part of two church plants from the ground up, and both have been life-changing. Serving without the weight of tradition brings a renewed sense of spiritual reality—simple, vibrant worship of God and genuine love for His people.

Our prayer is that Christ’s church, purchased at the infinite cost of His blood, would shake off the dead weight of inwardness, sectarianism, and complacency, and instead pursue the gospel-driven vision and energy essential to planting new churches.

Nothing sustains a believer’s passion for mission like the atoning work of Christ. Fear of judgment may jolt an indifferent heart into action for the lost, but it’s the beauty of Christ and Him crucified that fuels and preserves true missionary zeal.

It is our prayer that the church that has been purchased by the infinite price of Christ’s blood will shake off the encumbering weights of being ingrown, sectarian, and lethargic to pursue the gospel driven vision and vigor that is so essential in planting churches.
